Just saw some films and DVDs these days:
-
Vipère au poing (2004), a French film which title in Chinese translated as "悲憐赤子心"
-
Monsieur Ibrahim et les fleurs du Coran (2003), a French film, Paris in 1960's, the friendship between a Jewish boy and an Arab grocer.
-
Alex & Emma (2003): an interesting American love story between a writer who afraid of commitment and his stenographer and yet the romance in the film is not quite convincing...
-
Howl's Moving Castle (2004), a great Japanese animation again by
Hayao Miyazaki (宮崎駿). I've seen this film in the movie theater but still feel touched a lot while seeing the DVD again.
-
Flightplan (2005), a psychological thriller film. Though the reason for setting Jodie Foster's role (Kyle, an aeroplane engineer) up into this airplane hijacking seems a bit wierd, Foster's acting does bring me the anxious and panic feelings as what her role feels throughout the film.
-
Pride & Prejudice (2005): nice English scenery and costumes; but I don't like the ending, pretty cliché... still prefer
that of BBC's TV mini series (1995) and
Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy...
Should add a link for those movies I've seen and like a lot...
